Sangiovese is located on the first floor of a two storey former palazzo in the centre of a delightful village a few steps from shops and the main square. The town has pizzerias, restaurants, 3 cafes and a number of small shops for fresh food, wine and basic necessities (one is a butcher who also sells fresh homemade take-out cooked dishes and the other a a very professional fish boutique shop with major specialities, which does the same. In both you can order your preference and quantity if done one day in advance) and with a lovely countryside for walks and bike rides.
A good base to visit the beauties of Tuscany this location will be giving you both an authentic taste of real Tuscan lifestyle living like a local but having the privilege to stay in a good quality and comfort minded environment.
On the ground floor of the Palazzo there is another apartment called Falanghina, which has been decorated with the same attention of Sangiovese, this is the perfect opportunity for two couples traveling together but each independent offering privacy from the other.

Sangiovese has an independent entrance. A charming apartment, fully equipped with all the modern amenities, top quality electrical appliances, tastefully decorated with quality modern furniture. Every detail has been chosen with much care and creates a stylish atmosphere comprising an elegant and comfort feel. The living/dining area and open plan kitchen with white base colors and relaxing fixtures mixes perfectly with the earth tone brown walls used to separate the daytime space area with the evening area. The living/dining room has a large window with shading screen to control the natural light and it comprises a comfortable seating area equipped with dining table and 2 chairs, (2 extra chairs available for extra guests), a flat screen TV, stereo and DVD player (the living room sofa pulls out to turn into a double bed comfortable for 2 persons).The Berloni open plan kitchen is neatly arranged inside an alcove at the end of the dining/living area and the kitchen counter is combined with the gourmet kitchen equipment and accessories to create an elegant rural culinary experience. Off the living area is a bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom offers view of the church and main square, (a queen bed convertible into two twin beds) and designed with a fabric-covered headboard that evokes the fresh shades of the walls, finished using warm delicate colors in order to give a relaxing feel. The wardrobe offers both hanging and drawer space. Double glazed windows to protect from weather conditions and any noise. The bathroom is furnished with Hansgrohe appliances, large mirror, shower and hair dryer.

Behind the palazzo there is a small courtyard with a private entrance for common use between the two apartments and an elderly lady that lives nearby. In this small courtyard you can find the room with a washing machine and dryer to be shared between the two apartments, each with its own key for access.One minute walking distance away from Sangiovese Apartment- suite is located a private green garden which houses on one side an outdoor children playground and retreated on the other side, a table with four chairs where guests can rest outdoor and enjoy some peaceful time. Once the playground is closed at 4:00 p.m. guests can enjoy a drink upon returning from a day of sightseeing and entrance will be through a gate that is left open for us.During July and August the playground section is closed but as a client of Sangiovese Apartment- suite you will still have access to it anytime.

Free parking available just in front of the apartment, on the small church square.

Location:

The swimming pool, horse riding school and tennis courts are reachable in a 10/15 minutes drive. Only 15 mins by car and you are in Pontedera, a larger town with nice disco bars, pubs and restaurants. You can reach every interesting historical city, such as Florence (approx 1 hour drive) and visit the Duomo, the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge, the original David a masterpiece of Michelangelo, the Uffizi Museum. Or Pisa (approx 45 minutes drive) and visit the Piazza dei Miracoli square with its magnificent marble Duomo and the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa; or Lucca (only a 30 minute drive) where you can walk or ride a bike within Luccas ancient walls and visit the interesting historic center, pedestrian streets lined with shops and restaurants, the medieval towers and its 100 churches, nice squares etc.. There is also Siena (approx 1 and half hour drive), with its marvellous Piazza del Campo which in August converts into a Horse track for the renowned Palio. And there is Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci (approx 30 minutes drive). Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi (approx 1 hour drive), a trendy seaside resort to spend a day on the beach and have dinner in one of the delicious fish restaurants, enjoy the nightlife with its disco clubs and beautiful cafe bars.
